What The Plugin Does

Divi Breadcrumbs Simplified adds a new Breadcrumbs module to the Divi Builder. Once installed, you can add it to your pages just like any other Divi module.

The plugin automatically builds a breadcrumb trail based on the current page, post, category, archive, or other WordPress context. It can show visitors a path such as:

Home > Services > Web Design

or:

Home > Blog > Plugin Updates

The module is designed to be lightweight, readable, and easy to style using Divi’s built-in settings.

Content Settings

Inside the module’s Content tab, you can control how the breadcrumb list behaves.

Current settings include:

  • Include Home Page
    Choose whether the breadcrumb trail should start with the homepage.

  • Home Page Text
    Customize the homepage label. For example, you can use “Home,” “Start,” or your brand name.

  • Use Home Icon
    Replace the homepage text with a simple home icon.

  • Make Pages Clickable
    Choose whether breadcrumb items should link to their pages.

  • Separator Character
    Change the character between each breadcrumb item. For example:

  • Hide Current Page
    Choose whether the current page should appear at the end of the breadcrumb trail.

Design Settings

  • The plugin also includes Divi Design tab controls so you can match the breadcrumbs to your site.

    Breadcrumb Module

    These settings control the overall breadcrumb module.

    • Text Color
      Choose light or dark text.

    • Module Alignment
      Align the breadcrumb trail left, center, right, or justified.

    Breadcrumb Text

    These settings control the appearance of the breadcrumb items themselves.

    You can adjust typography options such as:

    • Font
    • Font weight
    • Text color
    • Text size
    • Line height

    Separator

    The separator has its own design controls, so you can style it separately from the breadcrumb text.

    You can adjust:

    • Separator color
    • Separator font
    • Separator font weight

Installation

  • Download the plugin zip
  • Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
  • Upload and activate
